How does it feel to stay at one of the most renowned hotels in the Caribbean Islands? We had just moved to Nassau for work and were fortunate to be stayed at The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort before moving to our house in Sandy Port. From the moment we checked in, the hotel made an impression. Its grand colonial-style architecture and serene surroundings were elegant and exclusive.

Living here for a month felt like a dream come true. The lifestyle upgrade was real—and surprisingly, even with our high-energy 4-year-old son, it was manageable and enjoyable.
Now, imagine the limitations of a hotel room… and the unlimited energy of a child! Thankfully, the resort’s 8 km stretch of soft white sand, paired with stunning turquoise ocean views, gave our son a massive playground. While he played freely, I managed to sneak in some beach time and even got a tan.

A Bit About The Ocean Club
First opened in 1962, The Ocean Club quickly became a go-to exotic vacation destination for celebrities and leisure travelers worldwide. Set on the exclusive Paradise Island in the Bahamas, it’s best known for its luxurious island retreat vibe and tranquil beach setting.
As you walk through the hotel lobby, you might find yourself recalling scenes from James Bond movies—because they were shot right here. Photos from the filming are proudly displayed in the lobby. Guests can even live their own Bond moment by sipping his iconic Vesper Martini while admiring the Atlantic.
The resort boasts 107 accommodations including rooms, suites, and beachfront villas. Dining options include three restaurants and bars, with the highlight being Dune by Michelin-starred Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
Gardens, Cloisters & Family-Friendly Bliss
The Versailles Garden, a replica of the one in Paris, offers a romantic and peaceful setting for leisurely walks. The Augustinian Cloister, with its timeless architecture, is a popular spot for weddings and photo shoots.
Despite its upscale appeal, The Ocean Club is family-friendly. Our son loved riding his bike around the resort, playing in the sand, and spending hours at the kids’ club.
The resort features three pools:
- A peaceful adults-only pool
- A lagoon-style family pool near the kids’ club
- An infinity pool overlooking the ocean
As a guest, you also get complimentary access to most attractions at Atlantis Paradise Island, including the 141-acre Aquaventure, 11 swimming pools, and private beaches.

Our Accommodation at The Ocean Club A Four Seasons Resort Bahamas
We stayed in a garden-view room, which came with a king-size bed and a queen-size pull-out sofa bed. At my request, housekeeping would turn the sofa into a bed at night for our son and back to a sofa during the day.
The oval-shaped desk doubled as a workspace and dining table. I particularly enjoyed sipping my morning and evening coffee on the spacious balcony, which had a long outdoor sofa on one side and a round table with chairs on the other.

The bathroom was luxurious—featuring a large bathtub, two washbasins with beautiful wall mirrors, and high-end fixtures.
Storage was ample. My husband and I used the main wardrobe, while I used the TV cabinet drawers for my son’s clothes, toys, and books.
Laundry Service
Let’s talk laundry! The resort’s laundry service felt royal—our clothes were returned beautifully packed in boxes labeled with our names and room number. Every time I opened a box, it felt like unwrapping a gift. Silly maybe, but I truly appreciated the presentation and attention to detail.

Room Types
In addition to garden-view rooms, the hotel offers:
- Ocean-view rooms
- Luxury oceanfront rooms
- Suites and villas with private plunge pools
All rooms are equipped with modern comforts including large TVs with on-demand content, coffee machines, and luxurious bathtubs.

Spa & Wellness: Bahamas Spa at The Ocean Club A Four Seasons Resort Bahamas
One of my favorite resort facilities! The Balinese-style spa villas are tranquil and private. Services include manicures, pedicures, facials, massages, and more. Each spa room overlooks a serene garden, adding to the soothing ambiance.
I personally got my nails and facials done here—and I must say, the team did a phenomenal job. The Bahamas Rhythm Massage and Herbal Coconut Poultice Massage are also popular among guests.

Kids Club: Kids For All Seasons
With a month-long stay, we had plenty of time to explore the resort’s offerings. We spent most mornings on the beach and afternoons around the pools or at the Kids Club.
The staff was amazing with our 4-year-old. The club caters to children aged 4–10, with indoor and outdoor games, painting, video games, and activities. What I loved most was that I could leave my son there for extended periods—giving me time to work or attend spa sessions without worry. They even served him lunch, which was incredibly convenient.

Recreation & Excursions
- Golf Course: Just 5 minutes away by buggy is the Tom Weiskopf-designed Ocean Club Golf Course, one of the Caribbean’s finest.
- Yoga & Pilates: Join complimentary classes on a sundeck overlooking the ocean or book a private session.

Restaurants & Dining at The Ocean Club A Four Seasons Resort Bahamas
Dining here is a treat! Bahamian cuisine is heavily influenced by South American flavors, especially when it comes to seafood.
- Dune: The signature French-Asian restaurant by Jean-Georges Vongerichten. It’s located steps from the beach and serves à la carte breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Eggs Benedict and fresh coffee were my morning favorites.
- Ocean Blu: A casual oceanfront lunch spot. Don’t miss the Conch Salad and Poke Bowl!
- Dune Bar: Next to the main restaurant, offering cocktails and small plates with live music.
- Martini Bar and Lounge: Sip a Vesper Martini like James Bond himself.
- In-Room Dining: Order via the resort app and enjoy a meal from your balcony or terrace with a view.
