The Jungle safari was the main reason to visit Madhai at Satpura Tiger Reserve, and the Boat safari was tempting too. We booked the resort on Make my trip. Booking our accommodation at Bison resort in Madhai tiger reserve, we left home at around 10 am the fine morning. Driving via Hoshangabad district from Bhopal for 3 hrs, for 80 miles approx, the Madhai tiger reserve’s arc board welcomed us.

Parked in the car, we walked towards the striking view of the Tawa reservoir, showing its beauty by staying silent and letting her surroundings shine. We felt the village, the fragrance of cow dunk, the soil in the air flying with the wind.

The music of cowbells reminded Gastaad of Switzerland. We were witnessing the cattle chew on the greens right at the river shore.

Checking in to our hotel, we took a quick tour of the resort outdoors and its surroundings. It has touched as much raw feeling as possible. Above all, it made us recalled our childhood when we played in such rural visiting our grandparents.

The resort’s only restaurant named after Denwa river streams at Satpura Forests. We took our lunch as it spread on a buffet.

Resting in our rooms, we gathered again at our room’s balcony to enjoy the evening tea. The terrace is wide enough, open from 2 sides that faced the Satpura Range and the Tawa reservoir. Sipping the delicious tea, we couldn’t ignore the vastness of the river. No wonder it’s capable of feeding the most animals in the jungle and on the other side the domestic cattle and animals also the village.

The stillness of the Denwa river made the mirror images of nearby hills and trees so clear that it looked like a painting.

Watching nature’s beauty, we also noticed some families have a boat ride.

We had the evening free of any activity, so we went to the counter set by the forest department, bought the tour for 1600 Indian rupees and hopped on a boat with a boat captain and a guide along with our family.

The motorised Boat took the gear, and we left the shore, beginning the chapter of our Boat Safari. Across the river is located the forest department’s guest house. Straight we rode, speeding a little, letting the wind touch our cheeks and leaving it cold.

We rode and rode passing the hills at the shore back. The water so calm, never moved the Boat. Let us sit on our seats and enjoy the ride, watching the enjoying the weather surroundings of the river.

The dawning sun threw such light, making weather pleasant. The scenery on the river became golden, shining the treasures sat at the shores. The beauty of still and clean water is admirable.

A crocodile was lazing on a few last rays of the sun on the bottom of the hill. The woolly-necked storks grouped up to catch some fishes before night. A group of Bison, a lone bison, standing at the very start of the river hills, looked like he is wearing white knee-length socks and a black suit over them. Spotted a hurrying fox near hills where 4 Sambhar deer were refreshing themselves and watching us as we approached them.

The Team Forest on the boat safari

The guide spotted the animals on the river bank through his binoculars, pointing at them to show us their location. The captain drove skill-fully to reach the safe distance so that we could watch them closely.

The team informed everything related to the tour and answered all the questions, including why we see the bubbles on the water surface. The answer was there’s a swamp below that created bubbles releasing the air beneath.

The half-hour-long Boat Safari felt satisfying as we witnessed the sun at its best before settling down for the day.

Hope the blog is helpful!
