We planned our trip to Jordan for four days, two weeks before we had to fly. The priorities were to book hotels, flights, rental cars, etc. but wait what I am going to wear over there, what about my footwear, what all things should I pack?

These are the questions that come to our mind when we start packing. So for such paranoia, I have a few suggestions for your stress-free trip

Jackets

Girls we all like to be cosy and warm, so for that it’s better to pack at least two jackets, it may just be useful for your flight, and later in the mornings and the evenings in Jordan, as it’s a bit cold at that time. Better for the second one to be a nice one to go with your dress in the evenings as it could be chilly. I had a sporty hoodie one and a leather one.

Full dress, or full attire

Since Jordan is a Muslim country, it’s better to pack a combination of full attire that could be a t-shirt and full-length trousers, kurta and leggings/pants or full-length dress with you. It’s good to be respectful to their culture, and I remember once in Wadi rum when I wore full kurta and pants the receptionist over there appreciated me for my dress saying “oh! you wearing Jordanian dress you looking so good”. But he may don’t know we have such ones in India too. Anyways I hope you got my point of dressing up fully.

Scarf or Stole

It’s good to keep at least two scarfs or stole, you can change and wear it according to the place. But there’s a new angle to this too, in the movies we see it’s always boys giving their jackets to the girl when they are doing romantic walks in that chilling breeze. Still, sometimes we also can be saviour too, just like my situation, I gave my not so girly looking scarf to my husband in Wadi Rum to tie on his head, as the evening we were there it was quite windy, and we ended up thanking to have taken two of these scarfs.

Full T-shirts/ Shirt

At times it becomes quite cold in the evening in Amman, Wadi rum and Petra, so it will keep you warm and comfortable.

Trousers

A regular cotton trousers or even linen trouser will work in Petra, Amman and Wadi Rum during the day.

Jeans

You may want to take a pair of jeans with you for travelling or while exploring the places, it’s perfect to wear too.

Sports shoes

In Petra and Wadi Rum expect to walk a lot! A pair of sports shoes is what you need to keep your feet comfortable for longer and safe for those ankles. It’s always a good idea to travel with sports shoes as its very convenient while visiting rocky places.

High heels

Now you must be thinking why the idea of that high heels, well in a city like Amman we can use those for dining in good restaurants or pubs optional if you think you may go over there.

One backpack

For hiking and to pack in your necessities when you’re on the go.

One designer bag for that romantic date or dinner with friends.

I also took a hat with me, which was very useful for me during those long walks in Petra. And a swimming dress for the Dead Sea.

So that’s all girls, these items can be more or less in number according to the days you staying and places you are staying in Jordan. Hopefully, this blog will help you pack well for your trip.
